Ok, so you may have caught me out. Fire Eagle isn't a Third Party Application for your Nokia
N95, however Navizon is! You see there is little point in using one of the services without the other.
Navizon is a superb (In my opinion), service which will poll your phone for it's location and also keeps a note of all cells and WiFi spots you have walked, cycled, driven, rowed, etc. past. And for every cell you discover you get 15 points and for each WiFi 3 points. Although that relys on no-one having found them before. If they have ou will receive 2 points for a cell and 1 for a WiFi spot.
When you have collected 10,000 points you can get them to send you $15.00 via paypal minus the $0.40 paypal handling fee. I guess the idea is to create a massive map of everything and it's GPS location to eventually pinpoint anything, anywhere with some sort of mobile connection.
Now to Fire Eagle, this is a new service by Yahoo! so unfortunately you DO need a Yahoo! ID. But once you have signed up that far, you are able to send your position from Navizon to Fire Eagle and have it produce a map with your current location on it. Imagine Twitter but for your location and that is what you have got with Fire Eagle.
