Question JoikuSpot-Pro

JoikuSpot-Pro

Joiku have just released a new version 2.20 of JoikuSpot-Pro. When I asked them for information on how to upgrade from 2.00 to 2.20 they sent me an e-mail with the following:

Quote:

Dear Customer,

Please remove all JoikuSpot parts (Joiku engine, JoikuSpot premium and
licence manager) from applications manager (not only from applications).

You can get to applications manager by going to
installations/applications -> app.manager. After that reboot your phone,
remove battery and sim card, and install JoikuSpot Premium again.

Best regards,
Joiku Support
.
No trouble with using the N95's apps-manager to remove 'Joiku engine' nor 'JoikuSpot Premium'.

However I was wondering if "Licence manager" is a specific Joikusoft program or is it used by other third party, or even Nokia, programs? If I delete it will all my other Nokia and third party programs continue to function and be registered?

Could someone who does NOT use any Joiku programs please go to Apps-Manager and see if they have "Licence Manager" in their list of installed programs please?

And also: Why would Joiku request that I remove my SIM card? I can perhaps understand removing the battery but surely if the battery is removed then removing or not removing the SIM card shouldn't change anything should it?

.

Yes, it does help, a lot!

If you don't have any Joiku applications installed but still have "License manager" then it means I almost certainly should not uninstall it.

Thanks!
