Have you enabled the POP retrieval in your Gmail account?

I've been using Gmail both on the app and on the email client, and it has worked like a charm in both. Two things to consider first though:

- Have POP3 access enabled in your Gmail by logging on to your account via the Web, then going to Settings

- Always use authentication.

I don't know what else to tell you; always try to have your access points well-configured. I handle four access points and I either have my email configured for my home wifi connection; or directly to my phone operator's servers whenever I can't find wifi.

Yep the gmail app is great. If only they would add attachments to it! With attachments it would be perfect! Mind you the built in mail app doesn't have attachements either does it! Doh!
