What, exactly, is vivid text?

Some Samsung phones have an option for "vivid text" which changes certain words to pictures/emoticons.

I think it only works between Samsung phones, except for the regular smilies.

Smileys

I found something here: Darla Mack: More Software Searching on Nokia's International Sites

I tried and its working. I sent one to my nokia 6101 and it came out whit a ordinary smiley icon. Thats alright i think. Hope they work out something better in the future for us not living in Hongkong though...

It worked from my N95 to my daughters samsung D900(my old phone), so may not be just samsung to samsung.
Its actually quite cool except i had the phone for a year and didn't realise what it was, so didn't turn it on ever
Total waste of probably the best feature of the phone.

Sorry for bumping an old thread
