i've watched full programs on wifi in landscape and full screen (without the bars top and bottom, not that the image is any bigger)

This is on version 1.5 without any mods.

Very Very strange.

Mine runs full length, landscape and portait. As you can see from pic in the earlier pages.

That is very strange, does it cut it's self att at 5 minutes, or does RP hang ?

Doesn't hang as that would imply it locks up. Just stops the video and I can't continue viewing.

It's always at around 5 mins give or take a few seconds and happens on any video.

If I leave the view as normal though without sliding it all plays fine. Just as it does through 3g.

Bloody odd!

Can I ask what wireless modem you have? Is it a Belkin Mimo G+?

Oh ok, just Belkin thought they would release one of their modems to the UK market without the ability to download/stream because it would cut the connection. Wasn't untill 8 months after I bought the modem that they released a firmware update for it. Now connections can stay active without breaks.

I must admit I have heard of the Netgear having problems with too many concurrent connections - when used with a torrent client, so it could be related. Nothing I can do about that though.

Will have to try it on another wireless network and see if the problem remains. I have a suspicion it won't. If this is the issue though, I don't understand why it works in none landscape!

Mate im using a netgear router too. Im on a virgin media connection (cable) wonder if ur using the same? Its crazy cos it seems like were the only 1s with this prob. Iv given up atm. Iv adjusted all the settings on the phone and cant see why the router would cause this as i can use everything inc torrents etc

That could well be the problem. As I say, I am using the WGR 614. Which model Netgear are you using?

I too am on Virgin.

Have you tried to run in landscape and portrait. I cannot understand why I only get the problem in landscape mode. It's completely baffling me!
