It's very hit and miss for me as well. The first word is almost always wrong when I try it. But I believe this is caused more by my west Texas drawl more than a failure in the software.

You need to install yahoo onesearch not yahoo go following the instructions I posted above. (BTW, make sure you're using the built in nokia browser and not a 3rd party one. This seems to confuse the m.yahoo.com website). Once you've done that a search bar will appear at the bottom of your standby screen.

To use the voice search press the pencil button on the standby screen to bring up the search text box, then you press the green call button and it will prompt you to speak. Release the button once you've said what you are looking for and, in a perfect world, your query will show up in the search bar.

Thanks but on the yahoo front page theres no 'get the new onesearch' link. Theres 'upgrade to yahoo go' and then underneath that 'more for your mobile'. I clicked on onesearch there but its just an online search engine. Sorry bout this must be missing something but theres not much on the yahoo site.

I'd like it more if it was possible to disable it when you didn't want it. Even after going to exit the 'press pencil to search' bar appears. Thanks but no thanks Yahoo!

You can use the voice search without the oneSearch application install.
Go into the Home section of YahooGo

The oneSearch is more convinence cause it's on the standby screen.
