I installed the latest version of TruPhone v.3.02(33) yesterday and since then I've been hammering it... I've found no ill-effects apparent on my
N95 and the speech quality is excellent!
As I say, I gave it some stick and discovered the extent of their 'fair-use' limit... oops! However, if it's as I think it is and it's calculated over a 24-hour period as appears to be the case, then I consider it to be quite generous and I doubt that many will exceed it in normal use.
One point I appreciated is that I was given 60 seconds warning before the limit was reached and when I re-dialled to check, I was told that calls were chargeable and would come from my account, all very fair and above-board.
I'm very pleased with it so far, it's proved reliable and integrates nicely into the phone, the only downside is the uncertainty of what happens to free landline calls after December 31st. I'm hoping that there will be something similar to the VoipCheap method, whereby as long as you top-up every 90 days or so, landline calls remain free, the balance in your account being used after the 3 months has expired, until you top-up again.
If they follow this kind of business-pattern, I can see myself being a long-term and faithful customer... So far I'm very impressed, TruPhone has made big improvements to the software!
