Memory card to Memory card Application Transfer

Hi guys. i need help. i recently bought a 2gb micro SD card for my Nokia N95 and im having problems with some of my phone's applications. my Phone, by default came with an English-Chinese Chinese-English Dictionary. and i just realized that when i used my new sd card, the dictionary doesnt work anymore. it keeps stating "dictionary word information missing. install word database"

is there a way to transfer the "entire" contents of one card to the next? it says the card uses 70mb of files but i can only see 11mb

You need to copy the content of the cards using a card reader in a PC as the phone hides some data and system files.

yeah, when you have the phone plugged in, view the card in windows explorer/my computer...

then go tools, folder options, view, and make sure under 'hidden files and folders' you have it set to 'show hidden files and folders'

that way when you plug in your phone you will be able to view the entire contents of the card, though dont go deleting things from the folders if you are not sure what they do..

Are you sure. It looked to me like the root of the drive you see when connected to the phone was different to the root you see when the card is in a card reader.

Best to use a card reader, copy everything from the card to a folder on your hard drive then from there to the new card (again using the card reader).

You can't transfer files using the phone, only a card reader as most are locked when the phone is using them ;)
