Red face Windows Live Messenger Sign In Problem

When i sign in... it says: could not connect, check access point and network settings.

This although i AM connected via wifi... websites open just fine, no connection problems. There's no setting in messenger that allows me to check access points etc.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try and change to your service providers internet. Gonna cost a bit to check it but can determine where the problem lies :)

Btw, Is that V.3? If so where did you find it. I can only find V.2

Hi. I downloaded the version on the 'downloads' page of this site, had no problem setting it up, only to be told that the service is only available in mainland China, HK, and Taiwan.
