Handy Profiles, Best Profiles, or Auto Profiles?
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anybody has used either Best Profiles by Smartphoneware, or Auto Profiles by Symbian Guru.
They both look pretty good and I'm wondering in practice which one is more flexible and offers more features. Sure I've read their descriptions, but I want real life experiences!

i tried both of them but i like Best Profile's look. I didn't really see much difference coz i was actually looking for a feature that will send sms as well but both doesn't. I had MagicProfiles Pro in my P910i and it switches profiles and sends off sms for every profile as well. Now i use Best Profiles and Mobigenie (to send sms).

Thanks Dayene! I must admit I'm in love with the idea of having my phone automagically go into silent/meeting mode for meetings (as I always forget), and coupled with Mobigenie (which I already use) for the SMS's is perfect!

I always used SmartProfiles (forerunner to BestProfiles) on my older symbian phones, and waited anxiously for it to become available on series3.
BestProfiles does for me!

BestProfiles for me as well.
I was bummed that my N95 doesn't switch to silent with the # key, but this totally one-ups that capability. I created a schedule for the profiles and I've never manually changed ever since.

The thing I don't like about best profiles is it won't change into meeting mode automatically when I go to a meeting. Unless every meeting I have in outlook, has the word 'meeting' in it, or whatever other keyword I choose. In reality the meeting subjects are random and could have any words in them. So it doesn't work well. It should just do that bit automatically, based on the fact you have a scheduled appointment!!! Unless I am missing something, this means I'm going to have to stick with Auto Profiles!

Hi all,
More about profile scheduler software you can read at Profile Schedulers for Series 60.3 comparison | Symbian Review. There you can find an interesting comparison of apps of such kind illustrated with nice screenshots. You will be able to compare all four applications and choose the best for yourself.
Best regards,
Vince
