Gmail Mobile

The Gmail for mobile application lets you access your Gmail account from your mobile phone. The application works with most new Java-enabled (MIDP2) mobile phones and devices and allows for quick and easy access to your Gmail account. Symella

Symella is a Gnutella file-sharing client for Symbian smartphones. Currently, it is available for mobile devices based on the S60 Platform 2nd and 3rd edition. Symella supports multi-threaded downloads which means that if multiple users have a particular file then Symella can download the file from several locations simultaneously.

SymTorrent

SymTorrent is the first full-featured and complete BitTorrent client for Symbian OS. It supports downloading multiple torrent files at the same time, is capable of both downloading and uploading and can save the status of your unfinished torrents, so you can resume the downloads after restarting the application. You can also check the status of each file inside a torrent along with several other statistics and properties during download.

Python for S60

Python for S60 is Nokia's port of the Python language to the S60 smartphone platform. In addition to the standard features of the Python language, PyS60 provides access to many of the phone's uniquely smartphone-y functions, such as camera, contacts, calendar, audio recording and playing, TCP/IP and Bluetooth communications and simple telephony. Released for open source, under Apache 2 and Python licenses.

Download available from sourceforge, but notice that you have to install first the PythonForS60 package and then the PythonScriptShell package. Package should be downloaded separately. Enjoy !

ReadM

ReadM is a reader for electronic books, which supports a variety of popular text and audio formats, including Aportis DOC, TCR, and MP3. Plain text files inside GZIP (not ZIP) archives are also supported. You can download books via infrared, Bluetooth, or Internet connection (there are several popular Internet portals with free eBooks in supported formats, e.g., www.memoware.com).

The books you download could also be shared with other mobile devices and beamed through infrared or Bluetooth, or send with e-mail or MMS. ReadM can be used as an embedded viewer for compatible formats in e-mail attachments, MMS, or WAP pages. You can also playback any MP3 music files with ReadM (MPEG Audio Layer 3 versions 1, 2 and 2.5 are supported.)

Chords for S60

How many times have I sat in the rehearsel room trying to find the correct finger positions on my guitar's fretboard for a chord, that my keyboarder wanted me to play in a special bridge. Normally I don't have a chord book in my guitar case, but I never forget my mobile phone (for the pizza order, you know :-D). So why not use the phone in this case also.

Chords for S60 is just a simple application for displaying guitar chords.

Just select a note, a key and a position on the fretboard and Chords for S60 shows you where to put your fingers. Nothing else.
