Google maps

Hi
Just downloaded this application. Is it any different from google earth I have on my mac at home?
Also, can it be used in conjunction with the GPS in my phone, ie I can get the satellite view of where ever I am at any moment?

Actually, Google Maps doesn't have GPS support, at least... not yet?

It's basically just google maps you'd find on the web on your pc, you can find locations and get directions... things like that. There is a map view and satellite view. You might want to give MGMaps a try. Not bad free software. Some people seem to like amazegps also.

Only for certain devices.

However They're working on their version of Yahoo's GO app for symbian, so here's hoping.....

I'm sure I heard something that they were looking at taking on the likes of TomTom, but that was a year or so back.....
