QuickSignSIS

QuickSignSIS
by me (Javawag)

Hi all, I know this forum probably doesn't usually appreciate people randomly posting software they've made, most likely seeing it as spam or whatnot. However, someone on the forum requested I put my QuickSignSIS program on the Internet, and so I wanted it to have a home on here in case anyone else found it useful!

Anyway, the site with more info and download is here if you are interested. The program speeds up signing SIS files considerably and may be worth a go if you often sign things for your N95.

- Javawag

PS: Mods, I really didn't know where this should go. Move as necessary.

EDIT: NEW! Don't have a certificate and key file combination? Don't know how to get one? Worry no more! There's a button in the new QuickSignSIS which gives you a step-by-step guided wizard of how to do it.
(Note: please tell me about your experience (good or bad) with this as I am sure it probably will work as I've tested it as well as I can, but I can't make any more accounts on symbiansigned.com to test with as I've used up all my email addresses!! So if you try, leave me feedback here... if it needs fixing I'll fix it, if not, wahoo!)

So you still need to get an account from SymbianSigned yeah?

Looks less complicated that the other signing utils, good job :)

Unfortunately you do, although once they get their site sorted out so that you don't have to email to get a certificate, I'll add a sort of wizard to QuickSignSIS which guides you through getting the right files to sign.

Thanks, that was the intention! A lot of signing utilities need you to open it up, sometimes put in your certificate/key file combination and passcode every time (but not all, I admit), then select a source file, and then a destination file... and I thought it was all a bit complicated for such a simple procedure! So I made QuickSignSIS so that you set it up once, and then after that it works super-fast!

Anyone tried it out yet?

EDIT: You can now see QuickSignSIS in action on Youtube here.

Try the new version of QuickSignSIS, it has a wizard interface that helps you get the certificate and key files now! Enjoy!

I'm not really sure, it could be the SIS file you are trying to sign is corrupted in the first place, so you could always try installing something else instead just for test purposes? I don't mean to sound patronizing but are you sure you're sending the signed SIS to the phone and not the original?

Either way, try and install something that we know works - like FExplorer maybe?
