ACTUALLY

I have an idea for how to get out of this one, mate!

FontRouter will use the first font in the E:\resource\fonts folder (By name), regardless of how many fonts are already installed

I suggest installing FontRouter (Hopefully overwriting the automatic detection of fonts) and placing another font in the fonts folder

You will need to use a font with any name starting with a letter before N OR rename a font and place it in the folder

If the phone accesses the newly installed font, you can proceed to deleting the four files for the last font you used (Using Y-Browser or some other file browsing utility)

You can either keep the new font installed or uninstall Fontrouter to revert back to the default font/get ready to try a different font

Unfortunately, you will have to uninstall, then reinstall FontRouter every time you want to change font

Slight problem... dont know why I didnt think of this just now. Have downloaded and signed FontRouter, all ok and installed onto mass memory. However, the third part of the original instructions says to connect the USB cable and choose mass storage mode (which on the N95 8GB is data transfer mode I believe). But due to the previous errors its not possible to choose data transfer mode. Is there another way of getting a font into the e:\resources\fonts folder? Was thinking by bluetooth then moving the file manually?

Yes that's fine

Transfer a font onto a location in your memory card, then use Y-Browser (Or another file browsing app) to move it into the e:\resources\fonts folder

Yup, just tried that using Y-Browser. Connected the phone in PC Suite mode and copied a font onto the Sounds folder on the mass memory. All ok. However when you then attempt to either copy and paste or cut and paste that font into the resources/fonts folder it will not allow it, giving the error-46 message on Y-Browser. God **** it!

For sure! :P

I'm sorry I didn't add anything about it to the original post in the first place.. It never occured to me there would be security issues with the N95-2 :(

Anyway, I hope it didn't cause too much of an inconvenience - And consider it that you have now contributed in helping all other N95-2 users, giving them a heads up about the whole process ;)
