Phone Guard by Psiloc
I installed this app today and it RUINED my N95.
It changed all of the icons of my 3rd party apps into that grey with red jigsaw piece and now NONE of them open.
So now i.m reinstalling my firmware WITHOUT doing a back up.
Hopefully this will rid this malfunction from my phone.
I know this just sounds like a whinge but i thought i'd give everyone a heads up.
Has anyone else had an experience with PhoneGuard?

Were you testing the locking abilities of the guard at all?
Rather than being a problem, it sounds like it encrypted your memory card - Allowing the shortcuts on your phone to remain in the application menu but with no links to icons or application sources
Don't go re-installing the firmware just yet :P

Hmmmmm, bit late. :-/
It somehow enabled itself on startup. First time i restarted the phone after installing the app, after the nokia 'hands' screen a Psiloc splash screen came up and then 'it was on'. Thats when all the icons changed and the apps stopped working. Found the unlock code for the Phone guard and then played with the settings, and still wouldnt let any apps open.
So i uninstalled it and restarted the phone.....Still had the jigsaw icons and wouldnt open appps. So i did a soft reset to no avail.
Then tried hard reset and it was still exactly the same.
Reinstalling my firmware as we speak. (12:45am in Australia) :-(

Thanks for the heads up even if it is just a problem with your handset, anything Psiloc do always ends up f*cking up,for me anyway.

I've been in a dispute with them for ages about their Reflect theme,i bought it ages ago and after installing new firmware the theme wouldn't install so i asked for another version and they said that the download link should still work if i had paid for the theme, which i did.Upon telling them that it works but doesn't install they said they'll get back to me,they just ignore me now the *!@?)8^'s.
I can't even install the theme via un-sis,when i extract the files from the sis i'm left with an empty sis with no mbm,mif and skn files.
If (a big if) i do use any Psiloc stuff now i make sure i get it un-officially.

Good call G. But i think i may steer totally clear of them, UNLESS irRemote is a worthwhile app to play with. Any comments?
