Yuk, Norton? Norton for PC is like the worst malware ever, nobody should ever use Norton, and given this I find it hard to believe that their mobile offernig is any better.

Kaspersky is the best, and they've just released a mobile antivirus - so if you really want to pay for and install uneccessary software on your N95 then at least get Kaspersky.

Nod 32 is a good program, especially if you're running your PC as a gaming rig as it definitely has a smaller footprint than Kaspersky, however its antivirus protection is worse than Kaspersky (check some roundup reviews, this is a consistent finding). I've used both, so this is also based on my experience.

Nothing with Norton in the title gets on any of my machines, whether it be desktop, laptop or phone. I troubleshoot machines as a hobby, and Norton/Symantec stuff is quite often the cause of slowdowns.

Yep, as I said, complete malware. Friends don't let friends use Norton products or surf with IE.

I even gave Norton a second chance just for kicks when I got my laptop last year (came with it bundled of course). A couple of days after getting it I started getting restarts and slow downs/freezes. Uninstalled Norton and guess what? All problems ceased immediately.

If I thought there was a chance of winning, Id take Norton to court for what their software does and how much of my time its wasted.

Time and time again Im asked by mates/family etc to make something work, and quite often its norton. Not family anymore though, Ive very carefully told them that I will not look at any problems on machine with norton installed.

They should be done for distributing a virus IMHO (Im very serious), as it stops things from working, often doesnt uninstall properly, and comes preinfected on many machines.

Ive had to use ghost at work, which isnt too bad. But anything 'securitywise' I wouldnt touch with a sh***y stick.

I recommend everyone else avoid as well.

And as for putting it on a mobile? Well, what I think of that would be hit by a swear filter.

Try taking it off your pc and it'll feel like you have upgraded it.

Wouldn't touch anything with Norton on it. I personally use Avast and find it great. Also reccomend AVG, Nod32 or Kapersky.
