does anybody have the N95 8GB original font? The one before firmware update to 20.016? |

I find that many fonts are missing characters, anybody know of any that are complete? Missing icon when in silent mode and arrows in taskman with certain fonts. Thanks.

This was the issue, as I was drag/dropping the Calibri font from the Windows folder. Luckily I managed to get hold of a TrueType version of Calibri and it worked.
Quick tip for the curious ones out there: DO NOT RENAME OPENTYPE FONTS AND TRY TO GET THEM TO WORK AS TRUETYPE FONTS. It made the phone crash and burn before the Nokia boot logo even had a chance to disappear. Not good, thought I'd turned my precious N95 into a very expensive, dual-sliding ... paperweight. Thank God for the 3-finger reset!
edit: Sorry if this is posted in the wrong thread... here are some screenshots to demonstrate what's going on... (I realise it's a different theme, but it's the same **** font!)

OK, please ignore my previous post. I went home and looked on my laptop and managed to find the original Calibri font file Calamity uploaded... installed... and it works perfectly. Looks beautiful.
I'm going to leave my original post there just as a lesson into how stupid I can be. Plus I've done a good job of emphasising Cal's helpful "don't use OpenType fonts" tip :D
