Shazam Track ID

Now, this is on service I have always been so impressed with..

Most of you will have already heard of, or even used Shazam in one way or another, and most of you will agree that it is an absolute godsend! But for those of you who are a little bewildered at what I am babbling on about, I shall give you a quick brief

Shazam is an amazingly useful service that provides instant retrieval of song tags and information just from taking a small recording of ANY (Pretty much) song that you are listening to. Whether that be on the radio, on tv, or maybe just while you're down the pub - The extraordinarily large database of music information it provides grows daily and never ceases to amaze me

The service was pricey at first with their phone and text service, but now being integrated into applications and taking advantage of mobile internet services, this has become cheaper and cheaper - I VERY much recommend joining inwith their offers and services; This is one company you will never hate ;)

As if all this couldn't get any better, Shazam have released a FREE (Yes, absolutely free) One Month trial version of their Shazam Track ID application for S60 3rd - After which you can (And probably will :P) purchase the rights for the unlimited use of the software

The application itself provides:
  • Song tags (Artist and title)
  • Album art and polyphonics (If availible)
  • Tag charts
  • Access to the Music Search feature on their mobile site

Download the trial now and begin your journey of discovery and happiness! :D

How good is it for dance music?? (Proper stuff... not the cheesy mainstream radio stuff)

I've been testing it quite thoroughly, and discovered that it will fail to tag most/all foreign music

Only seems to be english/american music it recognises - But I've tested it successfully on a LOT of different genres; Drum and bass, dance, trance, techno, pop, punk, rock, rap, hip hop, indie, musicals, soundtracks.. I'm sure there's more but it seems to cover alot anyway LOL

I've used Shazam sucessfully for a few day, but now it crashes every time I try to tag music, and displays "Memory Full" when I go to help. I have over 80MB free RAM left, no saved tags and I'm running it on an N95-8GB - I've tried re-installing the software (on the phone memory), and the same thing happens.

Any suggestions?

Edit: Ver 1.90

It can still RECORD the tag, it's just when accessing the internet that it crashes.
