So along with PANOMAN I grabbed Sports Tracker and tried it out last night while snowboarding.
Being the first try at the software it seems like a great little tool. The interface is pretty intuitive and easy to use. I opened the software up while on the gondola so it had a chance to grab sattelites and get the GPS lock going and then once at the top and strapped in I just clicked start, put the phone in my outside pocket and took off down the hill. The GPS in the phone seemed to work pretty good evn in my pocket and it was quite cloudy and snowing as well. Only one of the runs did I have a problem with not getting GPS lock while in my pocket.
The information it gives you at the end is really cool and some of it is probably really useful for some of the activities you can set it up for. Today I exported the routes I created to Google Earth and this is cool as hell. You can open the file and view the whole run with Altitude right on the sattelite view. AWESOME feature. If anyone is interested in seeing the file I can send it to you, just PM me.
So far it's a really cool program.
Posted some screen shots of the data exported to Google Earth
