it gets assigned to different buttons so they don't interact at all really. I use HT now to close stubborn apps or check my memory usage and I use this strictly for switching programs

Plus, you can customise the aplication to only show what you would like it to show in the display window! The standby screen has now left the phone, so I'm only left with my open applications

Please note: This application also doesn't have the problem that HT has with the v20 firmware, in where various native applications (Gallery, contacts, log etc.) are left in the 'open' list. This application only shows what is really open ;)

Is that a problem with HT or are these programs really still in memory? I noticed the free ram increases when closing these apps through HT so I'm not sure who's at fault

I believe it's just a conflict with HT itself - No other task managers seem to do it
