EQ AltTab - Windows 'Alt+Tab' selection for S60 3rd

The boys over at EQ Soft have just released a great new utility called EQ AltTab, that allows S60 3rd users to effortlessly switch between any open application with the quick press of a button (Or two in this case). As you can see in the image, it very closely resembles that of a Windows system and brings a whole new light to multi-tasking!

EQ AltTab also contains a very simple, yet effective UI to configure the main aspects of the application. The hotkey and icon size can easily be edited to suit the users personal requirements, and exceptions can even be made to allow certain applications to be ignored when displaying the selection window.

The Application itself runs seamlessly in the background with no indication of presense in the task manager at all and supports full automatic start-up upon booting the phone.

Download EQ AltTab (Unsigned)

now that seems pretty cool. GIZ is this useful if your running handy taskman? I imagine this might be quicker but have you tried it?

Note: might want to point out it needs signing

Update: Installed and tried it out with a couple apps running and seems to work nicely. Doesn't seem to take much ram at all either. I Like It

Downloaded it, signed it, installed it and instantly loved it!

It is so easy to use and much quicker than using any of the task managers! You can switch from application to application in seconds, and the customisation aspect of it is really great

I definitely advise this one! So much so, that this is actually my first news post on Nokia Users :D

Download, signed installed, nice app, but is this not the same as holding the (blue) menu button for 3 seconds?

It'd be a very negligible ammount...

I don't know why, but I've got this thing with having 3rd party apps that do the same things as native features of an OS... It's not just with phones, but with PC's as well...

Took me a lot of convincing to give Firefox and WinAmp a go... and even then I disabled access to IE and WMP one I'd installed it..

it's actually a little quicker and I personally like the fact that you can choose to hide some programs from the list. It works great and uses very little RAM from what I was seeing. I use handy taskman which is good but this is quicker for just switching between windows. Really great for copying and pasting between windows, makes it a lot easier.

I use HT aswell, which I still think is a great app, but I have had this aplication running since I installed it, and I can't even notice a RAM difference (Currently on 28.4Mb)

It's just so useful and convenient! You open it once, and never need to open it ever again! It's just as if you were editing a native setting on the phone

I personally use Handy Taskman. But is there any benefit to having this installed alongside Handy Taskman? From the outset it doesn't appear so.

I'll agree that at first just looking at it when you have HT installed it doesn't sound useful but I find it not only really useful but cool as heck. Another little toy to show all my co-workers (all computer engineers), we all think it's an awesome little app for a phone. How long till the windows vista version with the little active screen shot of each one rotating in a circle?
