Trouble signing rotateme
I've been trying for 2 days to sign my copy of rotateme, without success. I've registered an account with cjb.net, and used that the register with symbiansigned, but that is were my luck has ended. I have tried to use 3 of the "simple" tools to sign the certificates, but they all seem to stop at the stage where i'm uploading the certificate to symbian signed. can anyone tell me how to get past this stage, or send me a signed copy of rotateme?

Use DevCert Tool and make you a .csr file, upload the .csr file on symbiansigned to get your cert file, now use the cert file to sign your app.

And the point of my posting was that neither GenialSiS, SignSIS, or another tool (cannot remember name) could successfully upload the .csr file to symbiansigned, thus causing my problem. I get one error message advising that I dont have the authority to upload the file, and the other is that the program or tool freezes. Sorry if my previous post was unclear about this. I have a full account with symbian signed, registered and activated.

When i click on the link in the DevCert tool to upload the request file, the error:
"Error: Failed attempt to launch program or document:
Action: <https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/barclayhtml/devcert/requestupload.jsp>
The current thread will exit.
Specifically: No application is associated with the specified file for this operation. "
I tried manually going to the linked page, but no luck.

You actuall have to log into symbiansigned, click on the "My Symbian Signed" tab, To the left you will see "Open Signed" click on that, click on Request,Enter the security code and upload the .csr file, wait 3 second and you get your cert.

Well, that was a royal pain. Thanks baseballfanz. What I had to do was use QuicksignSIS and follow the instructions until it wanted to upload the file. That is where Symbiansigned was giving me the message that I wasn't logged in, despite logging on earlier in the wizard walkthrough. I then had to close the uploading wizard and upload the file manually to symbiansigned and request /; download the certificate. Then I opened up QuicksignSIS to load the caert fole, key and file into the tool to sign it. I guess nothing worthwhile is simple to achieve. I hope rotateme is worth it.
Question though. If even the crummiest theme or game has it's certificate already signed, why are developers releasing programs that we have to sign ourselves?

I suppose we just have to bear in mind that this is a developer tool, used to sign beta programs, and not realy meant for us mortals, so we shouldn't get too upset if it's beyond our ability...
However, I used this fantastic tutorial and followed each step exactly. It worked first time and you only have to do it once, the you can sign all your apps in seconds.

Thats the thing. Ive read every tip and tutorial i can find and they all start with SYMBIANSIGNED. This is reason i cant get the feckin thing to work. All my addresses have been rejected as spamworthy so im against a brick wall.
Tried to set up with cjb.net but to no avail. And i really want to piss my apple friands off....

Ok, if you are struggling, PM me your IMEI (and email address) and I'll send you what you need.
I believe the prerequisit on this forum for such assistance is more that 10 posts, which you now have.
