My fault with the date issue, phone was a year back, must have changed it for something!
However, no matter what i do it always exits after activating the map. I have since heard from support which told me to delete the license file, but all that does it make me have to activate the map again, which then says Im succesful and then exits the program again.

Alas, they think its a RAM issue. I dont, especially as every other navigation software runs without problem, and I didnt get a RAM warning.
But I cant exactly say the 'other' version worked to them!
Thus ends the trial!

Maybe they are not collecting in enough sales to fund further development?

I still want to try it, but Im at a loss as to get it working. They still havent sent me this 'howto' text file that was supposed to be included in the ZIP.
As far as I know I have put all the files in the wrong folders.
however it works fine, until I activate the maps. At which point it says activated and throws me out. From then on, I can start it back up, and do whatever but as soon as I choose the map, im chucked back out again.
Thing is, I will buy it if I think its good enough. But Im fed up of wasting money on not up to it satnavs.

So what's wrong with Nokia Maps? £15 per year (3yr), job done...
Or am I missing someting?

One you've highlighted - £15 per year. Other software you can buy out right and not pay another penny.
Secondly, in the world of sat nav, the Nokia Maps application is pretty .

Finally found it. In the settings.ini, I had to change the option
memory=low
to high. I dont know if this means it wants to use more memory or less, but it works fine now. Found it on a forum rather than them telling me though.
It has full postcode support and I'll be taking it out for a run later, hopefully the instructions are ok. I suspect it might still have the dreaded 'turn slightly left' issue.
They have also left out favourites. The option to navigate to favourites is there, but no way to edit or even create them. There is a new version on the way however, so hopefully they will add it into that.
Logan, you havent replied to my PM on AAS!

Nice one. Good to see it has full postcode support. The voices need tweaking. One of the English voices calls roundabouts "round doubt" LOL!
Yeah sorry, not been on AAS much mate. I'll have a gander in a bit.

Hello everyone new to this site
had my n95 for 6 months now, and desperately want tomtom to update there software, so i can buy it and use it with the internal gps, I have tried a few alternatives and i have to say sygic is the best
the voice directions seems to be alot better if you pick Betty rather than Jane!!
sounds daft i know
and you can store favourites by going into add poi, it then gives you an option to store it as a favourite which you can navigate to from the favourites menu
wierd!!

Ah, thats a very odd way of going about favourites!
I never got a reply to my emails, I even asked if they wanted anything specific tested but no reply.
Coupled with the poor support, and flaky software its a nogo for me. In addition, I read a review from pocket gps world (I think), and he said the routing was very very bad. Exactly the sort of thing I stay away from.
Have to say I'll be using Garmin from now on. Its much, much better with the latest maps, there seemed to be some issue with roundabouts and instructions on the old ones.
The UI smells compared to Tomtom, which I have been using also as I still have my copy of navicore which came with a sirf 3 GPS.
Apart from a few issues, Garmin seems as good as tomtom, so for the forseeable future thats it, no more looking for me.
Tomtom are missing out, dispite the rampant copying going on, theres still a huge amount of people whom would either buy a new version, or the old version (navigator6) if a patch came out.
