I found JoikuSpot on the Software page, and it mentioned exclusively 3G. Being skeptical, since 3G is not available in China yet, and I don't have an extra CDMA modem to provide internet to my laptop, I decided to just do it ... I have a GPRS/Edge connection, typically between 4-30K per second.
It installed on my
N95 in a snap ... turned it on, fired up the laptop, and the
N95 froze. Thinking I had too many apps running at the time, I rebooted the
N95 and started JoikuSpot right away. The laptop saw it, I told it to connect, and it did so in a snap.
I told it to go to Google, it brought me the JoikuSpot homepage (which it tells you of this in the user guide). After that, browsing was a breeze! Slow, but that would be expected with a GPRS connection.
All in all, I say it performs as advertised, and should get me out of a pinch or two when I'm in a remote area with no Wifi ... Thanks to the development team!!!
