got an ipod touch recently and been using this with it. Works a treat. Great having a 3g touch as the safari browser is fantastic. Im desperate for a full version that does more than http and https it will be perfect then and i would happily pay for it

I downloaded and smiled! Works nicely for me (on n95-2). Even with 3G disabled.

Just a quick note to say I have updated the first post in this thread, with instructions on how to get around the problems with the Three splash screen that some users (including myself) are having.

Dood if you see the first post gives you instructions on how to work around the Three UK redirect page basically you have to enter this address into your browser:

http://192.168.2.1/joikuspot-accept

Many thanks to steve@s60blogger.com who posted S60 Blogger

Big respect!

ANYONE WHO THEN KNOWS HOW TO GET THE LOGIN WORKING IN YAHOO AND FACEBOOK PLEASE LET ON

as these are my most used websites, tried finding a anonymous proxy site but Three filters them!!

TIA

The solution is courtesy of cfyau over at the eeeuser.com forums:

"I tried with the following settings and it works with my N95:

TCP/IP settings on EEE PC:

IP : 192.168.2.2
net mask : 255.255.255.0
gateway : 192.168.2.1
DNS : 192.168.2.1

Wireless mode : Ad-hoc

Please start the Connection on EEE PC first, then start the app. on the phone.

Hope that it works for you too."

And thats it. Treat the JoikuSpot like a regular WiFi connection, set all of those attributes manually in the network configuration deal, and open the connection on your EEE first.
Everything should be smooth sailing!

Thanks for these settings. They helped.

I have an Ipaq 5550 and it can browse fine with JoikuSpot as long as I don't need a secure page such as email or banking. But of course I would mostly probably use it for this very reason.
I know it needs an 'auto detect proxy setting' to work for a secure page but I don't have such a setting on my handheld.
I do have manual proxy settings for my Ipaq 5550 but how would I found out what they would be?

Bascially at the end of the day I need to use secure pages in JoikuSpot from my handheld.

Thanks for your time, looking forward to some ideas.
