HAs anyone tried using sling box in the states?

I'm in the USA on ATT's network, I want to watch my cable programming from me N95 but i haven't heard of anyone here doing so successfully. Has anyone used it it here?

I've done it, but it generally lags every once in a while over the ATT Edge network.

don't you have to use wifi or 3g at least to be able to stream it? i would definitely get one if tmo gets 3g.

Does Canada count? ;)

I'm on Rogers (similar to ATT) and have been using slingbox for a while now. Have experience using it with wifi, 3g and edge and all seem pretty good for me. I love it, it's great!

I am in Canada too, and on Rogers. I downloaded "sling player mobile" yesterday, but can not get anything. Do you have to purchase sling player solo, or pro, or can you use the mobile, on it's own?

john I believe you have to have the slingplayer box at your house and the mobile on your phone connects to the box

I went out and bought slingplayer for the apartment, and it works great with my PC, but will not work on my N95. I bought the slingplayer for mobile and installed it on the N95, still no show so I phoned their tech support and they in turn have to set up your computer for"remote viewing" which the guy could not do with my pc for some reason. It is an ongoing issue with me now, because they charged me $40.00(if memory serves) for the mobile software, so I want to see it work.

I got slingplayer for mobile to work fine, with the help of tech support. Now the good and bad news.1The good-Works fine with wi-fi. 2The bad-At the rate of aprox. 2000 bts, I can only afford to watch it while in my wi-fi area. The rates Rogers charges for data, it would not take long to use up my 3 megs.
