This would be so cool. I remember the days/nights well, sat in front of my Portable TV on my C64 !!!
Game favorites were, Paradroid, and Uridium. Both written by a friend of mine, Andrew Braybrook!

You knew Andrew Braybrook?!
He was my hero in the 80s, for those exact games. , I wasted some hours playing Uridium :)

Andrew Braybrook and Uridium, bleddy hell what a blast from the past. You either had a Zx Spectrum or a C64 when I was a kid, if you were lucky both. My mate had both I had a Spectrum. Everybody had hundreds of games, mostly pirated using two cassette decks and a 5 pin 'd' lead. A 48K game took around five minutes to load off tape. You read CRASH! or ZZAPP 64 magazine.
Oh the joy of making my spectrum 'speak' or typing in 3 A4 sides of hexcode to play space invaders. Completing classic games like Knight Lore and becoming Elite ! (I think it took me nearly a year). Happy days !

I did indeed. He was a very good friend of mate of mine, who was a computer programmer at the time too. Unfortunately, we lost contact several years ago. Braybrook no longer works with computers from what Ive heard, which is a shame.

Braybrook now works as a senior software developer for a large insurance firm.

So he is still involved in computers.

I vividly remember the 'joy' of waiting 20-25 minutes for 'The Hobbit' to load into a 48k Speccy, only to be finally greeted with the words... "Tape Loading Error"... That and all the 'fun' of the 'wobbly Ram-pack', Uncle Sir Clive has a lot to answer for! ;)
