On the subject of Voip, I have been using Truphone on my N95 for a couple of months now. Just to clear a couple of things up I have been reading in the threads, there are no charges using Voip to Voip, in other words, Truphone to Truphone, Skype to Skype. The charges come in when you call landlines or mobile that are not on the same service. There are no connection charges if you are connecting via your wireless setup, the same as there are no charges using your home pc and making voip-to-voip calls. If you are away from home and connecting via Cloud or whoever, there are their charges.
You can buy phone credit as you would a pay as you go mobile top up to use when phoning non-voip phones.
You do have a setting on the N95 that selects whether 'voice calls' (normal mobile) or internet calls are your default. I selected voice calls.
And while Truphone is highly rated, I don't know about Skype for the N95. Fring is rated pretty poor by Computer Shopper, 2 out of 5 stars. I have no experience using it.
Hope this helps!
OK, thanks for the summary. I have read though the whole tread and other locations on the net and i still am a little unsure of the following;

Can an IM program be used for make connect to another phone using the same application, but then use the webcam feature of the IM program. Therefore basically conduct a video call? I would like to do this when both parties are using WiFi. This way the whole process could be free.

Can this be done?

I have never used VoIP before on a PC so I'm new to it. Does the person you are calling have to have Fring as well? (Is that what P2P means?) Will I need Skype as well? (Which is no longer free I heard.) Will I be able to do everything strictly over 802.11g? Since I don't have a data plan and data use is very expensive through my carrier, I would like to make calls over the wireless internet connection in my home. Can this truly be free and unlimited?
Gizmo – A free phone for your computer and Home - Gizmo 5 will give you voip on our N95 works well on mine :)

Some great apps here. I've downloaded a few so I'm off to try and install them on my N95 now.

How do I get DivX onto my phone, there is only a download for the .exe file, do I just put that into phone and do it from there?

What files will DivX play, is it better than using Real Player?
